After an extended winter of modding my bike I'm almost ready to get it back on the street but one pretty serious problem has come up. I installed the rosmoto rearset along with a brake light pressure switch banjo bolt both from 2wheeljunkie. I love the pegs but for some reason my rear brakes dont work anymore. They worked perfectly at the end of last season before the new rearset but now the drivetrain puts more drag on the rear wheel than the brakes. Nothing has been changed except the rearset and the addition of the new switch. I have bled the system at both bleeder screws and still nothing. Anyone run into this before? Im planning on emailing 2wheeljunkie tomorrow for whatever help they can give me but i figured someone here might have something to offer too. Thanks

have you checked to make sure the brake lever bit that the two springs clip's onto hasn't been catching on the lower exhaust mount/hangar,
Mine only travelled about 5mm before catching, some crude metalwork got rid of that issue. Just brought the little arm backwards towards the peg and stretched the springs to compensate for the extra travel Hope it helps if not sorry and good luck!! |

yeah I had a binding issue at first because of the relative angles of the master cylinder and the brake linkage but thats been taken care of. I can easily run the cylinder through its full stroke and still dont get anything. I've tried disconnecting the brake lever and running the cylinder in and out by hand just to make sure and I am definetly getting full range of motion.

I've got the Goodridge hydraulic light switch, I think it's added a little travel to the pedal but not much. Check out the piot of the brake pedal on the shackle on the end of the m/cyl. If you tilt the pedal too far the other end of it jams inside the shackle. At first it looks like if you had the pedal off the bike but attached to the m/cyl it would just swing around, in reality the movement is a bit more restricted than that.
