Default Spark Plugs

Right.. Im going to change my spark plugs sooner rather than later...

I have no ide if I need to change them or not?? i.e. different type ??

They seem to be a tad wet when I took them out.... oily, petrol type stuff on the end...

does that mean anything?? or shall I just wap in like-for-like ??

Cheers!

NGK CR8Es are the ones. I've just put in the CR9Es as I'm about to put in the ignition advance key* and so the engine should theoretically be running hotter.

The standard plugs are pretty cheap so I'd bung some in ASAP.

* For Northwind's information I've just picked up the gasket from the dealer today

Might mean mixture is running on the rich side.

Well, Im now running with a Remus exhaust... that might have done something!

It says in the owners manual to use CR7E if standard plug is apt to get wet.

Question is, wet from what?? water ? or petrol ??

cheers!

I think Bikerz meant that you're better off running rich than lean.

But wet plugs aint normal. Wet plugs mean either water has got in there or its running to rich. They should be dry.

I've just bought 2 NGK CR9E plugs for the SV, will these make any difference compared to the standard CR8E?

No mods apart from a Scorpion exhaust.
