I have no ide if I need to change them or not?? i.e. different type ?? They seem to be a tad wet when I took them out.... oily, petrol type stuff on the end... does that mean anything?? or shall I just wap in like-for-like ?? Cheers! |

NGK CR8Es are the ones. I've just put in the CR9Es as I'm about to put in the ignition advance key* and so the engine should theoretically be running hotter.
The standard plugs are pretty cheap so I'd bung some in ASAP. * For Northwind's information I've just picked up the gasket from the dealer today ![]() . |

Well, Im now running with a Remus exhaust... that might have done something!
It says in the owners manual to use CR7E if standard plug is apt to get wet. Question is, wet from what?? water ? or petrol ?? cheers! |

But wet plugs aint normal. Wet plugs mean either water has got in there or its running to rich. They should be dry.

I've just bought 2 NGK CR9E plugs for the SV, will these make any difference compared to the standard CR8E?
No mods apart from a Scorpion exhaust. |
