Default flat tyre blues...

I rode the 30 miles home today and noticed the bike handling worse all the time. I guessed straight away it wa the rear tyre and rode extremely slowly but when I stopped to check it read 6psi . I filled it with air and rode the remaining few miles home, left it in my garage for 2 hrs and then checked the pressure expecting it to be flat again. To my amazement it has held it's pressure completely. Has some t**t been fooling with my tyre or can this happen with a puncture. I will be checking it again before bed as I need the thing for work tomorrow but any input from your experiences regarding slow punctures etc would be gratefully received.

If someone has let it down...well I ain't too forgiving so they better not show themselves really.

ive had previous probs with the bead on the rim on the cage not sealing and it letting air past(lower pressure made it get worse while it was rolling), as soon as the pressure was back up to what it should be it sealed and never had the problem again

he very kindly offered.

I loved the CB. I have ridden it once before but never very far and not on familiar commuting roads. Lovely bie, handles very securely, goes quite quick but you still need to rev it to make it feel fast. I may have to go looking for more nails again soon.

ps. Got the tyre repaired for £20 so not too bad.

Had that on my car - drove on one day and it felt awful, stopped and saw front tyre was flat. Pumped it back up and it was fine, so assumed it was some scabby chav messing about. Rear tyre got a knife in it when parked in almost the same position, and wife's wing mirror got battered in same position.

The lesson is... don't park near corner shops in Medway... cos the chav kids just have to vent their fury when they won't sell them solvents/fags/booze/porn mags. I don't park my bike on the street at all, for the same reason
