Two part test - first introduced?
Asking for insurance quotes, I now often get asked for the date I passed my test. I have no record, so I have just called DVLA who have told me, it was back in April 1981. I seem to remember a rush to get a test date, legislation was coming in to change the test to a two part test. However, doing a google it seems that that did not come into force until mid 1982 - anyone have any details of the exact dates?
