search the forum for chain adjusters. Nothing to worry about I reckon.

most bikes with a few miles on tick in someway, my old kwak used to drive me mad with its odd sounding engine noises, it also cost me a small fortune trying to find out what it was(and i still never found out

If it gets bad enough, it could be that it's a cam chain tensioner actually failing, which is rare but bad. But a bit of rattle's nothing to worry about at all. The hard part is knowing when it might be a problem.

In my experience a tick is a valve clearance out and a rattle is a cam chain tensioner. It doesn't have to be out of service limit to tick, just close to it
![]() A mechanics stethoscope (long screw driver in yer lug 'ole) should find which head then you can measure and find which is furthest out. |
