Default If red, turn left.

Bikes to use bus lanes!

Widening lanes on roundabouts!

Reviewing speed limits (don't forget speed limits can go down, as well as up)

Whatever next!? (Un)common sense?

A.

Well, some of the suggestions are already on the table in the existing review- particularily bus lanes, that's been in trial for a while now, and it's already been recommended (along with using advanced stoplines) in committee. So it's a bit more a case of stealing existing ideas and pretending they're new.

As they say; 'There's nothing new under the sun.'

I find it deeply worrying when I think the Conservatives are talking sense.A definite sign of old age creeping up so I hope someone will put me right. As some dead poet once wrote-----"I never dared be radical when young for fear it would make me conservative when old"

I still would'nt vote for them though.

Constantly... Never come across a valid reason not to, other than "it's the law". Been stopped a couple of times, but the amount of time you save makes the occasional fine a bargain- at my old job, I'd have gladly paid to use them

Be careful, of course... Car drivers will assume there's nothing there, since officially you shouldn't be there.

Left turn on red after stopping is a good idea. Works well in other countries so why not take it on if its been tested - same with the bus lanes.

Don't worry too much; Labour will wait 5-10 years and then suggest it as their own idea and implement it.

Perfectly legal in some places. Depends on the local authority.

Legal in Newport, illegal in Cardiff where there is camera enforcement in place and £30 a go.

Turning left at a red light? Works ok in the US (obviously, turning right!) but I'm a bit concerned as some lights are phased with pedesrian crossings on the junctions. Could be carnage
