Default Arrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh - Soaking Wet Hands

Hi All.

After investing in new Boots, Jacket and gloves my hands got soaking wet on Friday. The gloves did not leak, the rain ran down my sleeves and into my gloves. Like most people I wear the cuff of the glove over the end of the sleeve. I bought a pair of IXS North Gloves that have a long cuff. On Friday evening I tried to put the gloves on before the jacket so the cuffs would be inside the sleeves. If I still had my old AGV K Series lid I would have got away with it as I could do the helmet up with gloves on. I now have an Arai and there's no way I can do the strap up with winter gloves on. So I had to take a glove off again to do the lid up. I will try putting the lid on before the jacket but then I won't be able to see the jacket zip and poppers to do it up.

Has anybody got any ideas to stop my hands from getting wet?

Thanks
Tim.

I was going to suggest wheelies but I guess this will work just as well

I tend to...

1. Do my jacket up first.
2. Put my lid on.
3. Put my gloves on last, I always in the winter put the sleeves of my jacket over the cuffs of my glove, takes a bit more time and its a little fiddly but that way the water doesnt run down my sleeves into my gloves.

Just put your gloves on and pull the cuffs over the gloves. Fidly but works.

Exactly. Only I'd like to add between 2 & 3: Start engine to let it warm whilst you're fiddling with gloves.
