Windows 97 Help needed re format painter - SV650.org

Currently working through an 11 page document where I need to reformat the font (change colour and to italics) for every other line.

Text is not in a table form - is there a quicker way to do every other line other than having to click on the format painter tool every time (e.g. similar to using the CTRL button to select multiple non-consecutive cells in excel)

Can you not hold controll and highlight the lines you need and then chage the font and colour for all of them at once?
Not sure tho cos 97 was before i started using a computer. Honestly.

Not sure if 97 can do this but lets try.

If these alternate rows have a diffrent style from all the others, you may be able to go to (Menu Bar > Format > Style) and mass change the styles.

Control & highlight does not work for non-consecutive lines (i.e. every other) so I don't think format\styles is going to help.

I think what I need to find is a way of being able to highlight/select every other line - if I can do that, then I can re-format in bulk.

I think you'd be best off sweet talking somebody into writing you a quick script to take an rtf version of the document and spitting out one modified how you want.
Even learning to do it yourself and doing it would probably take less time than doing it manually.
