Warped front discs - warranty claim? - SV650.org

I've a K3 pointy on an 05 plate which is still within its warranty period 9500miles done and 6months left on warranty). The front discs (or maybe just one) have warped to the point where low speed braking control with the front is nigh on impossible. Obviously I use the rear brake most of the time at low speed but there is clearly something wrong.

Anyone had any experience of warped disks on a pointy and, if it was within the warranty period, making a claim?

I doubt if you would get much joy from a dealer if you went and asked for a new pair under warranty. I have a feeling that they are classed as expendable items, much the same as the brake pads and tyres, but, hey, its worth a go.

If they have just warped I think they are covered but it depends how they got that way.

Just normal road riding. It's not like I've track day'd it or the like.

Maybe I'll give fowlups a ring and see what they say.
