Default Problem Fitting Scottoiler

I have searched and read over 100 posts but can't see anything about my prob. Which is: I cannot get the dispenser sleeves to stick to the underside of the swing arm. I'm p*ssed about it . I used araldite rapid to do the sticking and left it 24 hours. Then the PVC sleeves just peeled easily off the araldite which now remains well bonded to the swing arm. Should I have used the traditional araldite? Or what? Any ideas? I really don't want to have cable ties wrapped arounf the swing arm. I have emailed Scott - waiting for a reply from them.

The main reason I haven't bothered with a Scottooiler is the fact that I just couldn't stand to see all those ugly cable ties wrapped around my swing arm. they look so unsightly - your eye goes straight to them
It might be a bit extreme, but is there a way you can thread the delivery tube through a piece of polished stainless tubing (just a little larger diameter than the delivery tube), and then attach it to the swing arm using a couple of small clamps and self tappers ? There's gotta be a better way than using cable ties - they look so............DIY I'd have thought Scottoiler would have addressed the issue by now. Use them by all means if they're out of site. Its like Bentley attaching their number plates with 4" nails - Rant over

I used a product called "EVO Stick Wet Grab" got it from B & Q and mine havent come off.

As Hovi5 says, you need to make sure that both surfaces are spotless before you try and stick anything on.

Mine are held on by the glue supplied in the kit. So far so good, but I do expect to see them hanging off every time I ride it.

I used the cable ties to "clamp" the sleeves into place whilst the glue set, but I guess you tried that too.

have a look on the scotoiler website, theres lots of bits of tubing you can use to hide the delivery pipe. If you are really clever you can hide it behind the hugger brackets etc and then you cant see it at all.

Just ask Viney, hes the expert.

Let us know what scottoiler say, am about to install mine when my t-piece turns up.

On a related note, how have folks on here mounted thier delivery nib thing. The instructions from Scottoiler suggest mounting on the paddock stand bobbin, but there is no mount suitable for this in the kit. (or am I being thick again?)

Anyone got pics of thier swing arm installs?

I used superglue, worked a charm. Apart from the bit where I glued my hand to my face.

I just glued the sleeve onto the swingarm then used a cable tie (grey) to clamp it on and ive left it there. You cant see the lump on the tie because its at the bottom and to be honest, id rather have one tie on there than none and the sleeve falling off at speed and getting caught in the chain.
