I loosened my wheel nut the other day to adjust my chain a little, and when i tightened it back up the metal thingy that guides the oiler tube onto the chain spun round and now its all out of allignment.
I can keep it still up to abot 80Nms, but then i try to tighten it up to 100 as per mannual, everything gets really tight and there is no way i can stop the oiler thingy from moving round. Any suggestions. ![]() |

But yours is a curvy which only needs to be torqued upto 64Nm New Leaf has a pointy which is meant to be torqued upto 100Nm

Mines a curvey too (a naked one) and my owners handbook says 100Nm - i think.
I better get my butt out of bed and go and check!! I'll also look to see if its under the washer or not. Thanks guys. |

![]() I took it at being a pointy cos i think that is what their axle nut is meant to be torqued upto something daft like 100Nm

I think 100NM is stupid tight too. 80 should be enough. Unless it's supposed to be 64NM, in which case, happy days. I doubt you'll have done any major damage to the swingarm by over tightening. Maybe dug into the finish a bit, and your chain might need re-adjusting.
My CBR is supposed to be torqued to 113NM! ![]() I can't even get to torque wrench to click out when it's set that high. |
