akito leathers

alreat guys and gals. my mam n step dad kindly bought me my first set of leathers for my 17th.there not the best of makes, there akito, but i read in a bike mag this month that they might be cheap, but they have lasted 6 spills, and are extreamly good value for money.
dont suppose anyone has got any or had any?

I had an Akito jacket and it lasted for years - several minor spills and finally got beaten after I got knocked off at 70mph - was still wearable but coming apart and I wouldn't have wanted to crash in it again. It did the job and I didn't have anything other than light bruising, which isn't bad from a jacket with no armour.

Can't comment on the leathers but my Akito boots and textile pants are ace.

well ive gt the two peice and some boots that are akito. im still sticking with my frank thomas gloves. ive had 2 offs with them and they still look new and not a scratch on me.

I crashed heavily last August bank holiday in Akito V-Force leather jeans and jacket (rear suspension on my old Bandit collasped at 50mph). I flew about 12 foot in the air from a highside and slid and rolled to a stop 40 yards from the bike. Everything that the leathers covered was fine and I wore the jacket for months afterwards, but the jeans were cut off me in the ambulance despite looking fine too - the only bit that I injured was my right ankle, and that's my fault for wearing heavy Alpinestars MX boots on a roadbike.

Bloody ankle still hasn't yet healed either.
