Fairings? - SV650.org

Does anybody know if you can retrofit the second generation SV650 (03+) onto the first generation SV650's (99-02)?

I really like the fairing style of the newer SV's, as well as the factory lower panels...

I've never seen it done and I imagine the differences in the frames would make it a tricky job, but that's not to say it's going to be impossible.

I would imagine your best bet as far as the lowers go your best bet owuld be the old fairing bracket and modify that to fit the new fairing, but I would imagine that your best bet owuld be buy a 2nd gen bike, it would end up cheaper I would imagine.

It has been done with just the nose fairing IMO it looks wrong (mainly cos it's got a pointy bit on it

)

Anything is possible just depends how much time, effort and money you want to throw at it?
