Or alternatively. come round a corner onto a bridge that you know you can get air off of. Nail the throttle go over the bridge on the back wheel with the rear wheel spinning and then think

"Whooo hoooooooo"

I'm starting to get my wet weather confidence back again and I'd forgotten how much fun it can be.

Try riding on 1" of ice. That seperates the men from the boys...

...and the Ceris from their bikes usually, too. ;)

But that's exactly why everyone needs to know what to do in the wet. Otherwise you give up on that fantastic AR ride in the glorious sun just in case it pees down for the last 10 miles

So was it on a poor road surface that you opened it up?
And now you've done it once, you'll know what to expect better.
:smt064give it another go.

When i 1st passed a couple of years ago i rode in all weathers and my confidence was ok, i will openly admit i'm a crap wet weather rider, puts the fear of god into me. I know the tyres will hold out but i freeze and won't lean the bike, it's all psychological i know.
I might even consider getting a winter hack to boost my confidence up, just don't wanna trash the trumpet :D

As for the road surface, it was ok, just a shiny piece of tarmac and too much youthful exuberance on the throttle, i know i was in the wrong, i did exactly the same on the SV in france, only difference is i held the power slide for about 50 metres, looked cool to the blokes i was riding with but my sphincter was giving it 5p,2p,5p,2p ;)

Now the men are the ones who take there car out on that day as the boys are usually the ones who fall off and don't make it to being a man lol.

Rain is the most i'll go out in anything else and i'll drive :-D

Sadly I am an all-weather commuter, so will head back towards Kent from Greenwich this afternoon to get my second soaking of the day whilst dodging people in cars who couldn't give a t*ss!!!!

Would I swap, in my head yes - in my heart no!

krhall nice to know that you get to experience the same crappy weather as me just being a few miles down the road lol. Although i seem to be getting more nods from bikers today than usual hmmm...

another bit of advice for wet corners is whilst lightly applying the rear brake make sure you downshift at least 3gears and dump the clutch.
Just got back from 900miles in ireland and most of the time it was raining, every1 thought i was mad but its great fun dumping the clutch every time you come out of a corner, you either get a nice wheelie or start spinnig it up the road

Today I was angry at my army of dogs for adding an extra hole (some months ago) to my summer gloves

Sunny - good - extra ventilation, everyones happy

Rainy - bad - extra seepage

What an awful word. Seepage

I love riding in the rain. Prefer proper rain and not some ghey drizzle .

Fast and smooth(well, feels smooth to me anyway hehe), maximum concentration and grinning like a Cheshire cat....yeah baby :D

Oh and it's 'riding', not 'driving' ;)
