I'm thinking about building a clamp with an arm to go through the rear wheel which is padlocked down. So just just undo the padlock, lift it up and drive off to go along with a ground anchor.

I'm liking the mystery switch idea although you'd have to put it under the pillion seat as it's about the easiest place to hide while making across difficult for others.

I'm not convinced that a kill switch adds much security. If someone really wants your bike and turns up with the right tools the only deterrent is a big noisy dog and a shotgun. However, I'd pay more attention to the bike thefts that are reasonably preventable.

a) Buy a decent (Sold Secure) disk lock with a built in alarm. Fit it to the back wheel whenever you park the bike.

b) Home is the one place thieves can be sure to find your bike. Buy a chain and ground anchor. Lock it when you arrive home.

c) Never leave the keys lying around. If you're not taking the bike today, lock the keys away somewhere secure.

Maybe one of the PCs on the group could add their thoughts,

Waste of time IMO. Not many thieves would bother to try to start a bike they would just take it

(D) Park in plain view or a secure carpark if its going to be left for any great length of time

yeah, I was thinking about it...:D (1st page last post)

In my old bike Yamaha Ybr125 I had Cyclone alarm, which costs only L25
and it has tilt sensor, loud siren and few more features....
(most important- this alarm won't let your battery so quick)

My conclusion about bike security is simple:
"If a thief wants to steal your bike, he will do this anyway...and it doesn't matter how good your security is....
You can only increase time of cutting chain, by buying expensive and thicker one or loud siren alarm..."

Am I wrong with my conclusion? ;)

Big chain on a cheap bike like the SV, you make it enough of a PITA that they go and nick someone elses instead.
