Here's the link to the map of Org members, there's not that many round your parts, although you could post up in your region group (the madlanders) to see if anyone nearby has some vacum gauges

my 99 ticks over at 1,100 sweet as a nut. when it didn,t [ 2,500 rpm ] the cause was the rear carb choke plunger gunked up. removed and cleaned with carb cleaner and wd40.... sorted.

thanks for the link, going to have to check it at some point but it is to sunny at the moment to be working on the bike i just want to ride it lol

It will take all of ten minutes to adjust the tickover, and check your chain and lube it, surprise yourself, and do it, you might get out to play!

got it warm and the problem seems to have gone, but i increased idle to 1500 anyway see how it goes over next week or so,

Cool beans, 1500 may just be a tad high, but its in the right direction, if you can keep her going.

yes i think a little, but the seller did say it had not been run for a while, so i will just see how it goes over the next week or so

A good blast now its staying up will do it no end of good. Depends how long its been sat really, as well as the carbs balancing, they may need a good clean, possibly a new air filter, Won't do any harm when you have time to have a peep to see if theres any mice living in there, and plugs might need changing too. :-)

skint at moment but will save a little cash and service it, if there is any mice in it my cats will find them when they **** on it next bloody cats lol
