Very nice that.

It's a late 03 and it cost me £2900. They really are a bit of a bargain, though you need to factor running costs in which are inevitably going to be somewhat higher than an SV. There are a some examples of the 'R' version with the Ohlins forks etc. for similar money, but the ones I looked at were either Cat C/D or just generally tatty/abused. If you don't mind higher mileage examples (and they seem to take it well) then a bit over £2k could get you a pretty usable bike, though probably not with a full Akro system.

Mine has full service history and appears to have been looked after very well which was worth more to me than fancy forks and wheels on a shed.

If you love your SV then I can pretty much guarantee the RSV will blow you away.

nice! got myself 1 a couple of months ago and love it!
wait until twisting the throttle isnt as scary as it is now and the fuel soon gets burnt, 90 miles from brimmed to light on a sunny day, but totally worth it!

Oi Ms Dizzy, come on them bikes are lovely..... you know it.

Anyway, what I don't understand is why some peeps harp on about mpg.
Come on when you rideout for fun who cares about mpg.

Its not about the miles its about the smiles...ohh I made a ryhme.

I can imagine :) Filled the tank today and it worked out at just under 50mpg which I'm very happy with. I know it won't stay at that level once I get a bit more confident on the bike, but shows what I can expect on longer trips if I take it steady.#

I commute 60 miles a day on it, so mpg is a consideration for me.

I have a tuono, lovely machines but make sure you upgrade the battery, if not using over winter keep on an optimate, never ever start it by using some throttle or your spragg clutch will wear tahrs expensive to fix, I only get 100 till light comes on, oh and does the rear brake work?

I didn't buy the VRaptor for an economical ride. Its a purely selfish toy. The SVs are different. Dave was the economical workhorse, Suzy is the shiny shiny rebuild I like to show off....although right now shes slightly suffering and waiting to come out after 18 months of being hidden:( Both are acceptable in petrol consumption IMO.
The VRaptor may as well be given a straw to make slurping noises:-D but I'm not overly bothered as I've not been up and down the country on it yet, cause its far from a commuter! Good job really as it averages around 30mpg!

50? how did you manage that? Are you another lightweight like Nick? ;)

I'll get 45 on the motorway (150miles to the warning light) and that's about it.

A bigger battery will only cover up the problem if the circuit isn't working properly, but you already know what to do.
