Re: who/what the feck is the "National Payment Protection Insurance service"
Cold Calling electronically awaiting someone to answer - They will be trying to get you to sign up for mis-sold PPI insurance, sold by any financial institution when getting finance or attached to your credit card account. I am sure there are some genuine companies that can do this for free, but these merchants tend to want money upfront and return it if you do not win!

They are all parasites and should be publicly burned at the stake. And as for companies who start with the line, "I'm not trying to sell you anything but..." GRRRRRR! Public stake burning is too good for them. I just can't think of anything suitably comically violent at the moment. I'll try to get back to you all after the next beer.

Leads you naturally into, ".... Excellent!! Then let's talk about more important things. Have you considered the opportunities that worshipping Beelzebub offers in the modern world???" Or maybe, "...That's brilliant because I've got a few things I'd like to sell to you. Have you ever considered building your own home?? Because I'm fortunate enough to have some perfect building plots....." Call center drones aren't as much fun as the Jehova's Witlesses because you can't see their reactions. But remember they really calling to provide you with some free entertainment. |

Re: who/what the feck is the "National Payment Protection Insurance service"
I still keep getting those pre-recorded calls via my digital BT line. They're starting to show a number now, so I might make a list, call BT and get them blocked/complain about them...
I wonder if you can phone up companies and get a list of the people that they've sold on your details to. Surely this should be a basic right... |
