It has no sparks. Well, it sparks when you turn the key, it just doesn't spark when it should spark. So some sort of triggery thing wrong. This is as far as I have bothered to look so far.

PS there are 20 million left hand side TL1000S clipons on ebay and zero right hand ones.

Ends up very low, that- throttle cable drags on the bodywork. Not that this matters that much as the bodywork is all ruined :smt023 But I'm in no rush so I'll keep looking for some sort of higher ones. Cheers though!

LSL have offered to let me buy one half of a clipon set for one half of RRP. Which, fair enough, is slightly helpful but they won't do the clamp by itself. So hell with that ;)
