By differance I ment the aplication of red loctite, as that it what was holding mine on.

I guess we will see when Cam_73 finally get it off if it has red loctite on it too.

Comes with loctite from the factory, whether you use it afterwards is a personal/mechanics preference, which makes it no different to every other SV.

I use loctite, and a big cracking bar to get them off again.

I didnt put any on mine when I put on the new one, should i have?

Like I said, its a personal preference and i don't on my own bikes.

I use loctite because I couldn't be rsed getting a new nut. But then again I couldn't be rsed putting the front cover on either, so can very easily check if it's backed off at all.
