Pretty much the same as me on a K5 with a slip on can, and I don't ride it particularly economically, although it's only ever used for longer journeys (60 mile round trip commute mainly).

OPs bike certainly sounds a bit poorly; does it get up to temperature ok?

it seems to warm up alright. Whats the ideal temp for it to be running at?

If a car exhaust is faulty/nacked its surposed to burn more fuel so i surpose its the same with a bike, i tryed riding my gixer with the yoshi baffle in but within hours it was out again, i'll pay for the noise thanks :)

That's if the cat collapses inside or something and partially blocks it up, makes it rich.
Or air leaks can trick lambda sensor into dumping lots of fuel in.

On the bike it depends on lots of things, mostly the jetting/mapping and how that's set.

I use engine braking a fair bit and its pretty strong but i was led to believe its better of fuel than braking more

I know this is going to be silly, but how much fuel does it take you to fill up?

I've only ever once had less to a tank on a pointy than that, and that was really shifting.

I can get 160 to the light if you're on a nice run and get to carry speed rather than have to scrub it off.

Generally, I expect the light to come on about 120-135 if you're around town with the odd bit of a blast.
