Think about it! How would a prosecution based on that stand up in court?

Forum posts have already been used to issue NIP's that didnt result in prosecution, dropped by the CPS.

They have also been used successfully as supporting evidence in a prosecution, ie: the CCTV operator spotted the offence, or another driver witnessed it and reported it, etc, but police/CPS needed more evidence (on visordown and a hot hatch forum also).

And in the states sucessful prosecutions have already been bought based on forum posts alone.

I spent a day in court based upon nothing more than the witness accounts of two members of the public. The testimonys contradicted each other, one true, one lies, which is what made the case fall down.

If you want to post the rest of the details and I'll send a link to the authorities for you, be my guest. Lets test the system and see what happens and how far it gets?

Whatever way you cut it, posting stuff like that isnt a 'smart' move. Neither is racing other vehicles up to 130mph on a public highway.

I'd rather be fun than smart.

Now that's going a little far isn't it? I imagine this is just an exaggeration to prove a point but I can relate to the poster's example.

Even if you've (proverbial) never been to 130mph, I'm sure many have felt at one time that they would like to go that fast or would like to race a car. And I think the poster was relaying the feeling of being able to do so with relative ease, before conceding to the car.

"Naughty boy, don't do it again (slap on the wrist)" is all that's needed. I'm sure the poster doesn't make a habit of it.

Back to the question, there are some very good examples of this on youtube but the most relevant is probably the F1 car versus superbike. "But its an F1 car, of course its gonna win". Well, the video explains the physics behind it all:

You've clearly not been out with the GM!

I understand you've forsaken your cabinet duties and transferred your unique brand of riding to Norfolk! I'm sure the GM and Cabinet are devastated. Now where are those "we're gonna miss you" posts ....

HAHA! More like glad to be rid of me!:smt081

Been offered sleeping quarters so attending GM rides will still be a regular thing, there is a small band of "nutters" in the GM and I'm glad to have been one of them!
