I say really, because I know in the motorcycling world, "waterproof" often seems to mean, "if you're out for a bimble 10 miles from home and it starts to lightly rain, it'll remain waterproof for long enough for you to get home, but for longer periods of time, or in heavy downpours, it'll get soaked."

Basically, I'm looking to get a top box for work. I'll be riding for several hours at a time, sometimes in very heavy rain. Would I be able to carry a laptop and shirts in one of these, without them drowning?

My kappa one was out in the rain all day yesterday. Bone dry.

The lid completely covers the box. So unless the box is upside down, nothing is getting in.

I use my givi topbox to carry a suit, shirt, tie and laptop for my commute. Even when its absolutely peed down the whole way my stuff has come out bone dry.

I do put in in a plastic suit carrier inside the box as an added precaution though.

Ta for the replies mysteryjimbo and new leaf.

Looks like I might be investing in a top box come the January sales.
