Re: We Need More Banter!
Oh yes I'd forgotten about sugar beet, quite nice to find a stray beet in the middle of your line on the road. Rossi & Stoner never had that problem.
I can sympathise with you over the smell of cooking sugar beet, I wonder if its any worse than bulk raw sugar I see quite regularly, that's not a nice smell |
Re: We Need More Banter!
'spose I had better reply in here :)
Skip - been on this forum since it were just fields round 'ere and been a moderator on the EAR for the last 4 years - its so quiet in here I don't think I have ever done any proper moderating - which is a credit to you lot :) 30 something, married, 1x 2.5 year old son and another on the way which means as of June next year I will have even less time to get out on the bike! All my local biking mates are no longer able to come out for one reason or another so I have done a paltry 1500 miles this year and that includes commuting for most of the summer! Bike is currently without MOT and in desperate need of a chain which realistically isn't going to happen until the new year :( Lame excuse I know! |
Re: We Need More Banter!
Congrats on the new one on the way, didn't know you had another en-route...
Definitely a lame excuse and to be honest you might need a couple hours on a bike every now and again with all those family responsibilities on your shoulders, I am sure the wifely would understand! A bit of R&R now and then works wonders |
Re: We Need More Banter!
Yes, our mod has been burning the midnight oil ;)
Having gone through this purgatory I can sympathise with him, 2 kids = no free time. Still I wouldn't have missed some of the lovely days I've had with my youngest Still at least he's done it the right way round, I'll be quite ancient when my youngest is 16, and I'll probably need to keep working if she goes to Uni :(, even though I think I'm still able to retire at 60 (only 9 years away!) Unless I win the Loto |
Re: We Need More Banter!
