I'm a bit late to say drill the head off too, but I had to in the end, after I'd buggered up the screw too!
Lack of grease on assembly in the factory, plus wrong combination of metals between the screw and the handlebar, some kind of electrolitic action there.

Strangely only one of mine was stuck, throttle side was impossible to budge using normal methods

I dont know if you have tried this but mine was a bit stubborn and i twisted it by hand at the same time as i was un screw it?

I tried that method Girth. But for some reason they have a habit of really being stuck.

I couldn't even move the bar end with my hands. I then tried wrapping the bar end in that rubbery mat stuff and using the biggest set of grips you'll ever see and it wouldn't budge.

Had to drill out!! Blo*dy F**king Bas*tard thing!!! caused me more hassle than any other bolt in my life wish I hadn't Started!!!!
