Can injectors be cleaned?
 

Im still having problems with fueling. Ive changed the fuel pump but no luck so i stripped the old one down and found the sealed filter was a state.

This has now made me think the problem could be my injectors maybe one stuck open.

Is there a way of cleaning them out or should i buy a replacement on ebay?

Yeah.
I remember when i used to have a 200sx, the guys on the forums would send them off to get some sonic cleaning and flow testing. I think it was a load of ******** most of the time, but they did love to spend a **** load on all kinds of silly stuff.

You can buy injector cleaner fuel additive.Ive no idea if it works or not though as I have carbs on all my bikes.

would try the reddex additive prior to sonic cleaning!

The best thing also to do is put the reddex in and do a big run to flush the tank through.

Found a place to do them 28 posted to be sonic cleaned which isnt bad but means no bike for 4 days.

Can i get reddex from halfords?

aye its a couple of quid for a shot or about a tenner for a bottle

Perfect ill get some tonight as im running out of things to try about this over fueling issue

you can get it from most petrol stations too mate. If halfords is a bit out of your way try the gas station first.

injectors are easy to clean.. injector cleaner is ok but dont really do alot .. always best to have em out and give em a good clean out with carb cleaner...

its a good idea to get them sonic cleaned ( UV BATH ) and flow tested, as the jets may be damaged, and since they are only there to inject fule in a SET! fine pulse/spray cleaning will not be enuff if they are damaged, it dos not cost much at all.. am lucky to own a UV bath and comprest air tools/machines so i do it all myself.

but if you google injector clean / testing am sure you will find lot of places that will help you out..

I did find a place but only does top feed.

Am i restircted to just k3 throttle bodies as ive found quite afew on ebay but not sure if other years will fit.
