Its all GGs fault, making me carrot cake recipes. Now I have the bug, its somewhat theraputic! Especially when your baby screams all day. Its nice to bake cakes wit no1 son...thats our time :)

Yep, agree with the theraputic aspects of cooking, even if its only flapjacks or 'Road' as we always called it.

Must be the smell of a cake baking that calms frazzled nerves :)

frickin awesome. Its like a gateau. I served it with fresh whipped cream:D Only thing is, the recipe doesn't measure enough filling and topping. Its needs a fair bit more. BUT....one slice and thats it, so must be good!

Anyway, heres what I've been doing today. Something a little healthier, and OMG tastes like a lovely Greek loaf.

I forgot to slash the top, so it didn't rise as much as hoped, BUT tastes superb and takes five mins to make, and expands triple the size of the wet dough.

awwwwww bless cakes for school. They just hand out mini bags of Haribo Starmix here. Plus Dylans birthday is in OCtober half term, so I get out of anything!

No more bread, no more brownies. MrandMissYC came up....I think they aprroved, they aren't dead yet!

Thats the usual protocol here too, my wife decided that baking a cake for 28 of them was a better idea :rolleyes:
