Worlds stupidest question - how do I get the front seat off?

As the title says, how do i get the front seat off my K3? I know the rear comes off from the lock but I just cant find how the front comes off! Can anyone enlighten me on the soon to be obvious answer? Ta

assuming it's the pointy in your sig you need to remove the two plastic covers about the size of your hand just below the seat, one on each side, before you can access the seat screws

Assuming it's the same as the curvy, remove the little black side panels (take out the bolt and then swing back) this exposes the bolts that hold the seat.

Ste

Beaten to it.

Just below the front seat on the sides there is a triangle bit of plastic held on with a allen bolt. Remove these plastic triangle bits.

Under them you will see another allen bolt on each side (bigger one this time) remove these bolts.

Now the seat will come off, grip the seat at the front and lift up, the back of the seat is hooked in and will just slide out.

EDIT: must type faster and what they said.

And don't overtighten the bolts when you put them back in, causing them to strip out the threads in the fairly soft aluminum... #-oNot that I did that, or anything!

Bagster make a seat that is one piece. So you just unlock it using the key and lift it off exposing the battery compartment.

...And the plastic covers will crack even easier. As I found out when I foolishly allowed a friend I was showing how to service a bike to "tighten something up".

Yeah, they've got clever shouldered bolts which means you can't damage the plastics but if you don't correctly locate them in the hole then panel damage can ensue.

I'm always doubly careful with my chromed ones.
