Disconnecting oxygen sensor on pointy

Hi, I have installed a powercommander and on some of the maps they say to disconnect the oxygen sensor. Just wondering where its located or if I need to remove it before using the map? The bike seems to run better using the stock map altho it could just be in my head.thx

If you're referring to the lambda sensor it's in the exhaust pipe under the rear of the engine on the right, if you have a belly pan it may be inside that.
