Rounded bolt, any help please?

OK so in my stupidity/eagerness I managed to overtighten the left hand side cover below the seat. (the product of having allen key sockets and being ham fisted) now it won't move and its rounded inside, any suggestions for clever removal? I was debating dremmelling a slot in the top with a cutting disc to get some purchase with a flat head screwdriver. any suggestions appreciated.

Thats one good option, the bolt is buggered anyway so you don't have to worry about damaging the Head.

Dremelling the top is what I did when I did exactly the same thing as you (well, not exactly, mine was on the right hand side :D)

will need a steady hand to stop scratching the cover - I'd try the torx route first

Cool thanks for the replies guys, i'll try the less destructive torx idea first as I like the sound of that.
Will see what happens :)

You might end up bending the subframe tab doing that, mind. Dremelling is good because it heats the bolt up too.

But if it heats up the bolt it'll further expand into place, better for it to be cold i'd of thought
