Arrrrgggh. Bar End Screw Not Budging
Anyone got a clever way of getting these off.
Mine is not moving. Tried normal screwdriver. Rachet with Screwdiver bit (broke the screwdriver head). Tried heating it up with a heat shrink gun for a few mins to see if the glue (if theres is some) would melt and loosen. All with no luck. Can anyone help me? |

Have you got an impact driver?
If you're not worried about the bar ends, you could use mole grips I guess, to see if that'd budge it. |
Re: Arrrrgggh. Bar End Screw Not Budging
Just soak it in WD40 as good as you can, then screw back in then screw loose.

Or try penetrating oil.

Have done the WD40 thing too. :(
Plowsie I can't get the damn thing to move at all let alone be able to screw it in first :) You know how usually you can turn the bar end round whilst still on the bar well this is solid. |
Re: Arrrrgggh. Bar End Screw Not Budging
they are only rubber bungs that the screw go into - just try pulling it out ?
or try and squirt some WD down inside - worth a try Spokey ( formerly Nana ) |
