Re: speedo drive
Has the lead simply come disconnected from the wiring, it's a plug that plugs into a connector !! Has the wiring split anywhere ? Or...
Take the front wheel off and have a look at the speedo sensor which comes in two bits. Inside the sensor unit is a little plastic rotar with 3 sprockets, the sprockets are prone to snap and costs about 20 quid I'm told to replace. Or........ which is what happened to me, the more expensive thing to go is the actual sensor. If the sensor is plugged in properly and the cable isn't split anywhere and the rotar is ok then the actual sensor has died and there is no way in to fix it...... £106 +VAT to replace !!! |
Re: speedo drive
A big thanks to everyone who replied unfortunately it was the drive its self that died so had to buy a complete new one, and glad to say back up and running once again thanks
