Electrical failure.
 
Right yesterday i started my bike as normal ride to work, but i noticed when i was on the A road my rev counter and speedometer was going crazy and my fuel light came on for 10 secs went of and kept doing it till i turned my bike off by work, then i turned it back on and it wont start, i bumpped it to get it home and noticed it wasnt going crazy no more,
ive checked the fuses

ill try and start it and nothing happend no noises or anything.

Can anyone help?

Loose connection somewhere probably, check the battery connections and starter relay area.

battery was lose, tightend it up

just wd40ed all teh connections front and back well up tillt he relay anyways

Check the fuse holder in the starter relay

Buy a cheap multimetre and check the charging system and battery as per Sid Squids post in the techy section.If that all checks out OK then look for chaffing in the wiring loom.Usual suspect points are around the headstock,under the seat where the seat bolts protrude into the loom,and under the rear cowling where the loom bends around the subframe.

Hi mate,

Check the loom where it passes the headstock, my naked 99 developed a split in the sleeving here. Also the bolts that hold the side panels on can chafe the wiring too so may be a good place to check, good luck!
