Pointy Regulator on a curvy

I have been on the search, but got fed up after the 2nd page.... Sorry.
I have a regulator/rectifier off a pointy. It has 4 wires whereas the curvy one only has 2. Can I fit the newer Reg to the older bike?

Hopefully you're referring to the output block and the new reg/rec has got seven wires all together as opposed to the five of your original; three in one block and four in the other, the block with four connections is the output, and simply there are two pairs of wires; two lives and two neutrals.
