One cylinder cutting out

during a 30mins test run, one of the cylinder cutted out intermittently, along with the rev counter (does this mean the front or back cylinder?), sometimes it cuts out for seconds then fires again, sometimes the engine needs to be revved to get the cylinder firing.

anyone got a DIY check list to this issue?

cheers,

:D

Battery has good connection, I better check all wire connection leading to front pot and the rubber tube connections to the carbs. Any thing else I should look out for?

My rear cylinder cuts out, in fact it doesn't fire at all at the moment.
Not sure why, I've bought a new lead to try
