Attending Hovis' Funeral

Hi guys

there is an update from Drew on the main thread http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...39#post2059839 regarding numbers and attendance.

I thought it'd make sense if we organised between ourselves first who can and who cant make it so we dont all bombard Drew with PMs and if anyone is going by car we can arrange to fill it etc if the whether is foul.

So, as soon as i know the date i'm gonna book the day off work, anyone else?

You may be entitled to time off for a funeral without taking holiday mate, worth checking.

I'll most likely go by car but it does depend on which day and which week the funeral will take place, Happy to give anyone a lift if I am able to go.

Jen... i been to funerals of peeps i dint know half as well as Hovis. And you know what, i didnt really know Hovis that well either. I met him for 5 mins at last years AR and spent some time chatting with him at this years. And then the PMs etc of course.

However, i can see what you mean about his funerla being for his nearest and dearest but you know i really think Hovis himself would have liked us all to be there wheather we felt like his best friends or not. Its also nice for the family to see just how many people were touched by his personality enough to show up, regardless of how long we may have known him.

Either way i respect your point of view but just thought i'd share mine as its almost the same as your but with a different outcome.
