sv thou swingarm dimensions

hello guys.

im enjoying looking through the forum as always!

just wondered if someone could tell me the width of the sv 1000 swingarm where it goes into the frame. just trying to work out if it will fit other frames too.

thanks

Thanks for reminding me xXBODGERXx he he,
its a bit difficult to get in there properly to get an accurate measurement but i reckon the swingarm is approx 275mm wide at the pivot end (give or take a few mm). hard to get at it as the rear exhaust and the shock block decent access to measure it. believe its very similar to a gsxr 600 swing arm as the thou apparently shares a few suspension components with it. dont know what your planning on fitting one to but i think the pivot bolt is a different diameter to the sv 650. from an engineering point of view nothing is impossible, its a case of how much work you want to do to make it fit. good luck with whatever your planning ..... mike
