Stoppping the damper rod rotating.
 
Time for a oil seal change.

Tried hitting broom stick inside, wont hold it, spring tension wont hold it. I cant see how im gonna undo this sodding bolt lol.

Take it to a garage.
Take your broom handle.
Ask very nicely to be alone for a minute with their ratttle gun.

Rattle gun does trick. If not then take other side apart so you can see what tool you need to get into it properly. I think it's a big hex.

yep its a hex, i think ill try the other fork now, give up on the right one lol

Second one took two minutes, much easier than i thought it was going to be.

This is ****ing me off, sledge hammer and hand impact driver, nothing. The broom is in a sorry state.


It seems to be a common trend on this bike, everything is stuck :smt093


Next idea is fill up with penetrating oil over night.

On the way to the pentrating oil shop i had an idea and doubled back home, It worked :D

They can be a right sod to get undone your not alone and its not just on the SV650!.
