Stoppping the damper rod rotating.
Time for a oil seal change.
Tried hitting broom stick inside, wont hold it, spring tension wont hold it. I cant see how im gonna undo this sodding bolt lol. |
Re: Stoppping the damper rod rotating.
Take it to a garage.
Take your broom handle. Ask very nicely to be alone for a minute with their ratttle gun. |
Re: Stoppping the damper rod rotating.
Rattle gun does trick. If not then take other side apart so you can see what tool you need to get into it properly. I think it's a big hex.

Second one took two minutes, much easier than i thought it was going to be.
Now to hatch a plan. |
Re: Stoppping the damper rod rotating.
This is ****ing me off, sledge hammer and hand impact driver, nothing. The broom is in a sorry state.
It seems to be a common trend on this bike, everything is stuck :smt093 Next idea is fill up with penetrating oil over night. |
