Another Boiler Problem!

We've got an instant gas boiler. Recently when I've been using the shower the water doesn't get hot, it's just lukewarm. The only way to get it hot is to only open the tap very slightly so that the water is coming out slower.
And the kitchen tap keeps changing from hot to warm when it's being used

I was thinking it could maybe be something to do with the pressure sensor for the hot water? Is that adjustable?

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Believe it or not when the weather is colder outside, i mean proper cold, the bolier is working harder to heat the water up, mine does the same, i have to turn it more to the left for hotter on the shower.

Could be the thermistors also.

Which vokera model is that?

It looks older than mine - but you have an auto button! I wish I had one of those.

Much boiler envy!

yep.. typically its the boiler output, its trying to heat up water fro 5 to 45 dges v v quickly, so if you turn the temp up this should help.

Heating water for showers is what works the boiler the hardest.

Next to your central heating pump (I'm assuming you have heating, just not hot water?), there should be a 2/3 way valve, with a little lever on it. It'll be set to auto but move it to open and I think that should give you some hot water. These valves seem to last 5-7 years.

Unlikely to be a 3-port valve on a combi-boiler, which this one seems to be.

Just turned it up today so I'll test it tomorrow. The shower doesn't have a thermostat
