Looking for s/h restrictor washers, didn't see any ones that were definitely still for sale!

We got restricted carbs
bin told off the lads at the bike shop washers r usless carbs are better :)

@littleperson: the washers go in the carbs to restrict the flow rate of air.. so I'm not sure what you mean by 'carbs are better'? But thanks anyway.
@pce13: thanks for the link, saw that alright, just not sure what to make the washers from.. have mild steel but I'm afraid it'll oxidise, esp. if it'll be in contact with whatever the carbs are cast from. Pretty sure it's more inert...

I must admit i have tried to locate washers for this but largest i found was 38mm so it looks like would have to get some made up

Actually guys I made up a few myself, very big tolerances so no problem at all on the lathe, could probably be made en masse in a CNC machine but I don't have one!
Made them from aluminium as 1) I wouldn't chance passivating the stainless steel myself
2) It's way easier to machine.
3) It's not load bearing or anything so aluminium is grand.

The carbs are cast aluminium too so there won't be any galvanic corrosion going on (not that the aluminium washers would corrode anyway)

If anyone wants some I could probably make em up, check it out with whoever's installing them and giving the cert though- the shop who's installing mine said it was fine but the whole thing is such a grey area it's best to ask!

What he meant by 'carbs are better' is that the curvy can be restricted by two methods, washers or different carb slides. The carb slides are what suzuki will sell you, the washers are what other companies will sell you.

As to if they are better than the washers who knows.

No idea what would be better, neither seem ideal really. Washers are easier to DIY anyway ;)
