"Best" revs to change gear at?

Such thing as a "Power band", where is it on a K2 SV?

Best revs to change from each gear? Like, if I was drag racing for example, so for best continuation of acceleration?

i shift about 10k on my k3 if i gunning it

just remember lean over the front in 1st n 2nd and pin the throttle, i used to be fairly gentle on the throttle in 1st n 2nd as the front would lift and wobble but then started leaning over the front and found you can rely give it the beans :D

I rarely go above 7000 rpm when in london, dosnt seem like much point! Out on the country roads, if I'm blatting it, then up to about 9500. I think most of the torque is made between 5000 and 8000 rpm, so if you can keep it in this zone then you'll have a responsive throttle.

I don;t think there is a pwoer band as such, but the first day i rode my SV unrestricted, i did notice a suuurrrrge of power above 7500 rpm, I giggled like a naughty schoolboy. I don;t feel that rush of power anymore though, it feels like one long lovely wave of rumbly goodness all the way to the redline. I guess I was spoilt by the bandit i had for a bit, which really did take off at 8500 rpm!

If you're out for a spirited ride, try to keep it between 7000 and 9500 rpm. If out for a bimble you never need to go over 6-7k :D

Yeah, a actually normally change up each time at around 7500. I was curious as to whether it differs between gears? As it's still restricted, I guess Im not gaining as much speed in revs over about 8000/8500 (Or at least thats how it feels)(so best to change up from here)?

If it's restricted then I wouldn't bother going above 7500 at all :)

for a restricted K2 it's worth going to 9000 before banging in the next gear if you're on a track day or something. there is a little bit there to be used and use it i did on TD's when i was resricted.

About 9500 on stock bike, there's not much left above that.

I change gear between 5 and 6k.
I don't believe in revving the knackers off my bikes. Many an arguement I have had about how harshly or not to ride a bike, but I like my bike purring not screaming :-)
Don't think I've ever gone over 7k!

10.5, preload the lever and use the limiter as a crude quickshifter. ;)
