Amanda's got the spanners again! Crash bungs and drain holes.

Yay!!!

Fixed the bike, in more ways than one....

1. Was not fired up and when it did it sounded like only one cylinder again and had FI error on dash. Cleaned out the drainage hole on the front cylinder and gave it a squirt of WD40 as per the previous thread advice. Fired her up and started first time, error code gone and running sweet again. Amazing!!!!

2. Took off the lower fairings. Removed the old crash bung on off-side and the brackets on both sides. Replaced the bolts and fitted the R&G Bungs. Had a bit of a mare getting the main engine bolt off. A 2 man job so I did get Chris to help. Fitted the new engine bolt, adjusted the R&G Bung bracket to get it all together. Tightened all the bolt and bingo new R&G Bungs fitted.

Have left the fairings off as I want to get some new bolts as 3 out of the 4 are different. Also the near-side bung will not come off the bracket so I'm gonna try and dremel it tomorrow!!

Anyway, I good day for the spanner wielding girlie!!!!:cool::cool:

I don't know how youre going to fix it, but the sticky tape and screws suplied aren't my favourite.

You can glue it on with araldite or clear silcon sealant. I used araldite on mine, but its messy and impossible to get off once its set

If I were to do it again, I'd use clear silcon sealant. Just use it on the part where the sticky tape is on the fenda extenda

You'll need some clamps to hold it in place whilst the glue or silcon sets, if you were to use this method.

Oh, and its much easier to take the mudguard off and do this :)

Right, so I just looked at the packet and there are only 4 screws with it and the tape on the fenda already.

Are you saying don't bother with the screws at all and just silicone it in place??

I can't see how you can use the screws anyway? The holes in the fenda are bigger than the scews.
