if the brakes are feeling carp a quick clean and fresh fluid may cure it. if not a master cylinder rebuild kit is less than £30 (for a curvy) on wemoto.com |
Re: rear brake master cylinder upgrade, what fits?
I found on my bandit that braided hoses improved the brakes no end, that's my project next spring with this bike

Re: rear brake master cylinder upgrade, what fits?
i have to say my rear brake is rubbish, thats with new seals, braided hoses, HH pads, fresh fluid and no air in it at all

Re: rear brake master cylinder upgrade, what fits?
its been bled no end of times (off the bike) and i just cant get it to work, i can lock up easier using engine braking.

Re: rear brake master cylinder upgrade, what fits?
assuming the pads are not glazed, not contaminated and have a good mating surface with the disc (not pressing against a banana shaped braking surface) then its almost certainly air in the system or something wrong with the MC seal/bore.

But if you want to there is neat one from CRF450 or something (IIRC) that fits, shiny with integrated reservoir. I'm not 100% on this so you'd have to find one to check hole spacings and such. |
