Re: headstock bearings

Get the bearing dimensions from Wemoto and then go to your local bearing factor and order them from there

Good morning all.

The bearings are 55mm od x30 bore x17mm deep. If you want the genuine caged ball race type. Go to a Honda dealer & order 2 of part number; 91016-KT8-005. These are the same Koyo bearings that Suzuki use, apart from they have a metal cage for the balls as opposed to a plastic one. They're around £25 each including VAT.
A bottom seal from Suzuki is around £13, Again use a Honda one, part number; 53214-371-010. It's around £7 inc VAT.

If you want to go for the Taper roller option. Avoid the majority of mail order made in India/China/Gawd knows where rubbish! A good bearing factor should be able to supply you with Koyo bearings. These outlast just about all the other makes on the market by quite a margin. The part numbers you need are; 32006JR for the top, & 32006JRRS for the bottom. The bottom bearing has a built in seal. they should be around £30 inc VAT for the pair. If they try charging you more B & C Express have them listed at around £25 inc VAT for the pair, + Postage. B & C's part numbers are BGS008 for the bottom bearing & BGS066 for the top one.

I've just noticed that you're in Middlesex. As am I. I probably have what you need on the shelf. Give me a shout if I can help.

Cheers.
