bearings - reconditioning

Hi could some one recomend a good way to clean and grease 'sealed' type bearings i have in my rear sets ps i can get the outer covers off so can get to the bearings but cant take the balls out

i tired blasting the old grease out with WD40 then letting them dry, then i use lithium grease and they are still rough and not smooth like the (new) other rearset bearings :/

the bearings them selves look ok but they are so small i cant really see

they looke like a strange size, so will try and mutilate the old leaver and get both of them out to see if i can get new ones but they look machined down (ps GB moto charge £6 each so £12 per leaver and that a bit expensive for me atm)

any advice would be good ta :D

Personally i would just replace, you can get them for penies online, i just use my local bearing place normally a couple of quid each. The size or code should be on the bearing. As for cleaning and regreasing id use some kind of solvent or even white spirit let them soak then blow them out with an air line if you have access to one.

f608z ..... every skate bearing in the book comes up but taken one out and its not the same, it has a 25mm dia collar which is what makes it strange

so its 22mm OD
7mm depth over all ic collar (or width what ever it is lol)
7.8mm ID (where the shank of the bolt passes through)
25mm od collar (1.5mm thick)

:/ strange lol

If they are rough when you have cleaned old grease out and repacked then they are toast.

Glad you found some new ones, I loaded mine up with heavy grease as soon as I got my GBmoto-alike ones.

Don't bearings come ready greased? My RGV wheel bearings certainly did.
