fork exchanging random question
could cagiva plant 125 forks work on the sv, im talking is there a fundamental differance/ safety issue with using 125 bits compared to say a 1000,
so for example if you could make them fit (not that youd want to) put honda cbr 125 forks on a cbr thou, or would the stresses involved make it dangerous, i await the org outrage/slagging/dumdass responces, then if someone would answer in the end that would be lovely cheers a planet is about the same weight and height as a sv650 |
Re: fork exchanging random question
Obvious question dave is what brakes would you intend to use, most 125s etc only have a single brake caliper.

Re: fork exchanging random question
sv brakes and wheel plus yokes just getting an adapted axle

Re: fork exchanging random question
Don't bother mate they're sh*te. Damping in one leg spring in other, only bracket to fit one brake, no adjustment.

cheers |
Re: fork exchanging random question
There is a reason people fit GSXR forks, there's no point trying to shortcut cos the stock ones are a shortcut that works-ish without faffing.

Re: fork exchanging random question
I'll give you a tenner for it and you can have a go on it when I've grafted an XT600 motor into it. :-P
