Radial brake master cylinder for GSXR front end?

Im doing a gsxr front on swap on my sv650 k9 and i need to get a radial brake master cylinder, i was just wondering do i have to use a gsxr master cylinder or could i use another one.

I think you can use the sv one but im not 100%. I know on gsxrs people change to brembo or r1 master cyclinders for better feel or less travel lever end. hth

The sv's m/c is more than enough. I've got it on mine with gsxr calipers

Master cyl does not know or care which direction caliper mounting bolts are pointing.

SV one works fine.

It may not be needed as such, but the feel and adjustability of a radial type m/cyl is desirable. There may also be issues with the ratio of the lever in relation to the bore of the m/cyl and whether it will flow enough fluid to make the newly fitted radial calipers function at their best. I've found that scrapping the crap stock Nissin m/cyl on many Suzukis and Kawasaki fitted with Tokico calipers makes a big change for the better. You get a more positive lever and the effectiveness of the brakes is increased substantially as you have much better feel and control over what the stock m/cyl gives.
