Re: Tip Over sensor issues, please help!!
It's a small black rectangular box which hangs off a few cables, in a rubber sleeve, and normally it should be slotted by the rubber sleeve on a small bracket on the front of your battery box, if it's hanging loose or not the right way up the bike won't start.

If you were to draw a clock face on this picture, the tilt switch is at 1 o clock just peaking out underneath the tank, with a red wire running into it.

It's just behind the rear brake resovoir and in front of the tank hinge, it'll be very dark in there. shine a torch in and you see a rubber block with wires coming out the back of it.
Read the official manual for error diagnosis (c23 error) and follow the instructions on how to test it. If you want a replacement off ebay it'll be around £12-25 and take around 5-7 days for delivery. If you want it quicker it'll be around 40-55 quid new from a suzuki garage part dept. (yes really!), so i'd suggest to test it first just to make sure! Im sure theres a way to bypass it, but it will involve a resistor and some wiring skills and it's not recommended especially if your racing and you have an off. Im in the process of getting a replacement one myself after the test failed on it :( |
