Plastic pipe size to fit fork seals?
 

without faffing around reading through threads does anyone know what size/length i would need?

if its the oil seal....use the old one ontop and a punch then no damage to the new one. oh and dont forget to put abit of grease around the outside of the seal.

yup again use abit of oil on the inside so its slides down the stantion and grease on the outside so it slots in easy.

will need abit of a push but nout to hard when i did mine.

make sure all the surfaces are clean a smooth helps alot to so a good clean and maybe fine grade wet and dry if theres any build up of crap you cant shift.

Dont forget your brush pole with the finger off a rubber glove taped to the end!!! Ha ha. Bloody damper rod bolts took me hours to get off.

2"/50mm plumbing waste pipe - cut about 400mm off and then cut it up the length. Using thick cable ties you can overlap the cut ends and adjust it to whatever diameter you need.

My local plumber chucked me a bit of waste (pun not intended) stuff he had laying on the floor of his van for free, I've had it about ten years now

Everything except the top yoke pinch bolts. Just loosen but don't remove anything until it's in the air, but leave those two tight to hold the whole forks assembly in place until you're ready to remove the forks.

It's easier and safer to do the loosening while the front is on the deck, saves the bike becoming unstable on its stands when you have to apply a bit of heft to a tight fastener.
