Do you have an android phone / iphone? Get a free app to measure the DB, that'll be close enough. I think most baffle-less cans would exceed 102db, but not necessarily all.

I've got a Db killer you can fit to reduce the noise level

are all the Db killer/baffle the same size, never even thought of putting one in as the end can never ever had one so never had a hole for screw or groove for circlip to hold it in place, plus the fact it will likely knock 5+ hp off the output

Not sure about 5hp but it did make my curvy run like a bag of ****. If you tune the rest of it to suit it should be fine*. I used a bikeit universal one, drill a hole and screw a bolt ('bolt a bolt?') easy.

* but that's a fair old effort to say yours may be okay. if it helps you work it out at all I had a non road legal ART can (never had a baffle) which had been DIY stubbied which measured a bit over 103db. I would guess a unmolested exhaust would fair better.

the end can on mine i beleive is a micron "not for road" use,and has a alloy case if this makes any differance, and this has been on the bike ever since i bought it and it runs very well with this set up,i allso have a b12 k3 with a scorpion end can with a baffle this runs like sh*t if you take the baffle out

binky has a micron (strainless with the blue burnt {dis}colouring)which has been stubbied (possibly more than once!) and is probably the loudest exhaust I've heard (bar harley davidsons) which measured 104db at cadwell IIRC. If only we knew how much difference stubbying made! micron's a very common aftermarket, someone will have one and be able to tell you.

Think so, I fitted a DB killer to a Scorpion can, which didn't have a baffle or any way of securing it.

Just drilled a hole in the underside of the tail pipe that came out out of the can

So as Red Herring said in page 6 of the other thread, the excuses have started already :p

Don't even think about sloting your 1200 engine in the 600 frame, or shoehorning your Blade engine in the 600 frame, nor painting you 1200 bandit in the same colour as the 600, we will know :p

BUMP

Just when you thought I'd forgotten about this :elephant::elephant:

So a couple of dates I can make, there are others with ClubMSV, but these are the ones I can do.

April 16th - novice only track day

http://www.clubmsv.com/bike-home/eve...productid=1239

May 3rd

http://www.clubmsv.com/bike-home/eve...productid=1314

June 4th

http://www.clubmsv.com/bike-home/eve...productid=1302

May well do the April & June dates

Who's up for it?

Maybe the June one if it's in the half term. All the others are term time :(
